Tollywood star Ram Charan and his wife, businesswoman Upasana Konidela,are expecting their first baby. Chiranjeevi Konidela took to social media to make the news official.

The Godfather star shared a sweet note that reads, “With the blessings of Shri Hanuman ji. We are delighted to share that Upasana & Ram Charan are expecting their first child. With Love & Gratitude, Surekha & Chiranjeevi Konidela. Shobana & Anil Kamineni. (Sic)” Congratulatory messages poured in for the couple from fans who were elated to hear that their favourite star will be a father soon.

Ram Charan and Upasana tied the knot in June 2012 after a few years of dating. The couple have often been hounded with the question of when they’ll have a baby. The couple shared the ‘good news’ a decade after marriage. A source close to the family says, “The Konidela household is bursting with excitement. Both Ram Charan and Upasana’s parents are overjoyed at the news. Upasana and Ram have always maintained that they’ll have a baby when they’re ready and this is a special moment for them.”

The couple went on a vacation to Africa in November. There has been speculation since September that Upasana is expecting. The family is yet to confirm when the baby is expected.
